The team
Javier Sotres; Photographer
When I’m not behind the camera, you can find me playing tabletop games, video games, pole dancing or cooking! I am a Mexican born artist who moved to beautiful Vancouver BC in the summer of 2010 and have been here since!
Photography is a self-taught endeavour, however, I do hold a BFA in acting from the University of British Columbia.

As a Makeup and Hair Artist I strive to help everyone embrace their natural beauty.
Ever since I was little I've always loved anything art related, and so happy to call this my career now.
On my days off I love to watch movies, play games, and eat!
Why Boudoir?
Through the empowerment of women, I empower myself. If I can help someone see themselves in a new light and bring a little bit of light to their day, then I can say that I have succeeded.
For me boudoir is about empowering the individual; allowing them to be themselves, love themselves, and lift themselves through our work as a team. Women deserve to be heard, loved and to be free. Through this work I want to show women how amazing they truly are and for me the best way of doing so, is through my camera and our combined forces.
Why do I work with women and fem presenting folk?
I have the fortune of being part of a very loving family, who always supported me through everything. Special mention has to go to my Grandma, who helped raise me when both my parents had to leave for work. A huge thanks to both my parents for being the kind of people who always looked to empower one another, as well as to empower me throughout my life. They showed me what respect looked like and they taught me by leading. For that, I will always be incredibly grateful.
Alongside my family, I grew up surrounded by incredible women who have matured to be incredible people in their adult lives. Some are doctors, others are writers, graphic artists and actors. They all are very passionate and they all followed their dreams while always being supportive of each other's choices and decisions.
More recently, in 2018 I joined Tantra Fitness, a pole dancing and aerial art studio here in Vancouver, a place full of very supporting people, most of which are female identifying individuals. This is a place where I feel at ease and at home in a lot of ways, and I cannot begin to express how grateful I am to have found such an amazing place.
My very valuable experience growing up surrounded by strong female identifying individuals has left a mark on me, and because of that, I aim to be an ally for women of all paths of life.
